On a Medin Full Moon Poya, after the Buddha's Enlightenment, and seven years after he left the Royal Palace as Prince Siddhartha [Abhiniskaramanaya], He visited to meet his relations in Kimbulwatpura [his home town], kingdom of His beloved father King Suddodhana.
Listening to the sermons which were delivered by Buddha, King Suddodhana could attain Sakuradagami - Once returner, [second stage to the path to attain the Bliss of Nirvana] Queen Maha Prajapathi Gothami - attained Sowan, the first stage of Sainthood.
It was a very moving scene buddha’s meeting of princes Yasodhara, Buddha preached “Sandakiduru Jatakaya” to prove, how much love she had towards Buddha not only in this birth, but also in previous births.
The prince Rahula prince Siddhartha’s only son, aslo entered to the Buddha Sasana on this poya day.
Prince Nanada followed Buddha and ordained himself.
