අත්තගෙන් ඇහැවුවාහ මුහුද මොන වගේද කියල,

කියනව ඒක අපේ වැව වගේ කියල...

මං වැව දකලත්
නෑ කියල...
මං හැමදාම වගේ
වැවට යනව නාන්න,
ඒත් මං දැන්නේ
නෑ වැව කොච්චර ලොකුද කියල,
කිරි අත්ත
කියනව මූද ඒවගේ සිය දාස් ගුණයක් ලොකුයි කියල..
ඒත් වැවේ තරම
දන්නේ නැති මම
ඊට වඩා ගොඩාක් ලොකු මුහුදෙ තරම හිතාගන්නනෙ කොහොමද?
මට තේරෙන එකම
දේ තමයි, ඇස් තිබුණත් කවදාවත් දැකල ඉවර කරන්න බැරි තරම් මුහුද ලොකුයි කියන එක...
I’m here to talk about something
that none of us have seen
before...
That is ocean..
My Grandpa calls it the"Singing pond"
I have never seen the ocean
I can never ever seen it
I asked my mother to describe it and
she told that it’s as blue as the
sky....
I reminded her that I have never seen the sky...
Then I heard her quietly weep....
I asked my Grandpa..
He said it’s like our grand lake
Then I reminded him
that I have never seen the lake either..
I bathe in the lake almost every day...
But I don’t know how big it is..?
Grandpa says the ocean is bigger than a thousand lakes...
But how do I conceive of the ocean
when I can’t fathom the lake?
What I do understanding..
That the ocean is so vast..
And that ones can never see it all in lifetime...
