Water is very important in our daily life. Actually Saving water isn’t influence to your wallet massively, but directly you make a contribution to the environment protection. So it is very significant and critical for us to save water in our daily life. Here are some tips on how we can save water in our daily life.
·We can re-use water – it explains that we can use water again and again for our different works.
As an ex - we can use the rinse rice water to wash vegetables after that we can put to flowers.The rinse water in washing machine can be used for the next batch of washing water, finally we can make use that water to mop the floor or water the toilet bowl.
· Better to wash family cloth together also run your cloth washer and dishwasher only when they are full. You can save up to 1000 gallons per month.
· Install a dual-flush toilet - then if necessary you can use short flushes for a pee and a longer flush for the rest.
· Turn off the water while you wash your hair to save up to 150 gallons a month.
· Keep a jug of water in the fridge - then, when you want really cold water, you don't have to run the tap to get it.
· Don't use a garden sprayer - it uses far too much water.
· Use 'grey' water on the garden.
· Wash the car with a sponge and bucket
· Collect rain water.
· Consider a water meter - then you can know the fluctuation of your water consumption clearly, and it will helpful to control usage in future, also it will be positively associated with economy.
· Never leave a tap dripping.
· Report burst pipes immediately to the National Water Supply Draining Department - then make sure the burst is fixed as soon as possible.
Global water consumption has risen almost tenfold since 1900 and many parts of the world. World population is expected to increase by 45% in the next thirty years, whilst freshwater runoff is expected to increase by 10%. UNESCO has predicted that by 2020 water shortage will be a serious worldwide problem. One third of the world's population is already facing problems due to both water shortage and poor drinking water quality.
We all have similar responsibility for the sustainable management towards to protect our water resources, It means using less water at home, in the workplace, at school, on holidays, on the farm, … everyone, everywhere, every time.
It's time to well-organized towards to protection of water! We should strengthen our relationship with water, and learning to use it more wisely. On the most basic level, it requires a behavioral change, and assigning a value to water that truly reflects its worth.
